Josh Hill Sets the Standard in the First Fight Night Barrie Main Event

When Fight Night Barrie needed a headliner for its debut event, it chose a fighter whose career represented the level the new series intended to pursue.

Canadian MMA veteran Josh Hill faced American challenger Aric Mercado in the main event at Sadlon Arena on August 15, 2026. Hill entered the cage with years of high-level professional experience and a record built against serious opposition. Mercado arrived in Barrie with an opportunity to test himself against that experience and make a statement of his own.

After three rounds, Hill earned the unanimous-decision victory.
